Hey thanks for adding my Blog to your links section! I love wine as well! I have a question for you since you are Jewish. What is the typical wine varietal used for making wine used in passover. I have been trying to find the answer as to which wine was most commonly drunk among the Jews in the primitive era. I am trying to find out what the real "Jesus Juice" was. Like what variety they were drinking back then. Cab, merlot, pinot, ect.... Finding the origin of the first passover wines is possibly the best way of going about this search. I've been googling for months and can't seem to find a certain answer. If you know, post it on my blog!! Thanks again!

Yes, I have thought of Manischewitz, haha, but somehow I'm not sure if concord grapes date back that far. I have a few posible answers but with not as much evidence as I would like. I think it could be either primitivo or maybe syrah because it's a warm weather grape that I think could of been grown in the hot mediterranean climate. I guess searching for ancient Isreali viticulture could lead me to find the answer but I want something concrete. There are countless references in the Old Testament about vineyards and cultivating grapes for wine. I want to know what species they were, Maybe because I want to drink the same wine so I can justify it!!
